- Information & referrals
The presence of a postpartum doula can:
- Speed recovery from birth
- Reduce the incidence of postpartum depression
- Increase the rate of successful breastfeeding
For more information about the benefits of a postpartum doula, please go to the DONA (Doulas of North America) website to read their position paper on this topic.[/su_column][su_column size=”1/2″][su_note note_color=”#e6e7db”]
Why should I hire a postpartum doula?
The postpartum period is a time of recovery and transition for the new mom. Surrounding her with emotional support, attending to her physical needs, and caring for her home and family allows her time and space to rest and recover from the birth, learn to feed her new baby, and smoothly transition into her new role.[/su_note][/su_column][/su_row]
