In-home Breastfeeding Consultations
A private, in-home breastfeeding consultation from a Board Certified Lactation Consultant typically lasts 60-90 minutes.
The flat fee for this service is $200, payable at the time of service. We are in-network with both Aetna and United, so families with Aetna or United can access services with no out-of-pocket cost.
[su_note note_color=”#e6e7db”]Under the Affordable Care Act, health insurance plans are required to cover lactation consultations, without copay or deductible, as part of preventative care for women. For clients with BC/BS, Cigna, and other insurances, a flat fee is payable at the time of service. We will provide a receipt for services, which the client can then submit directly to insurance for reimbursement. Contact your insurance provider regarding their protocol for reimbursement.

The days and weeks following the arrival of your new baby can be filled with overwhelming joy and overwhelming exhaustion.
This transitional time can be very intense, and many of us are taken by surprise by how physically and emotionally demanding this “fourth trimester” can be as this new relationship unfolds.
New mothers can often benefit from additional support in the first weeks postpartum. A postpartum doula offers physical and emotional support for several hours a day, as often as several times a week, as a new mother transitions into her new role.
